Grade UE06: £34,132 - £39,355 per annum, pro-rata if part-time

College of Science and Engineering/School of Biological Sciences/Institute of Quantitative Biology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology

Full-time: 35 hours per week

Fixed-term: for 12 months

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Research Assistant to join an innovative project to study cell-cell communication in organoid models of human skin. This project builds on innovative engineering biology tools that allow us to fluorescently label interacting cells in mammalian cell culture models.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Strong motivation to learn new skills and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in mammalian cell culture, including culture of stem cells and/or organoids.
  • Proficiency in standard molecular biology techniques.
