More about your role
As a Technical Manager, you'll play a key role within our Regional Technical Team, reporting to the Senior Technical Manager. You'll be responsible for coordinating technical design information and managing the performance of external consultants, ensuring the accuracy and quality of strategies, specifications, and technical documentation across a range of residential developments.
You'll lead the technical approvals process, including Building Control, planning conditions, statutory approvals, warranties and utility agreements. You'll also oversee road and sewer adoptions, easements and other legal and technical agreements required to support project delivery.
Working across multiple live schemes, you'll be involved throughout the full development lifecycle, from pre-construction through to project completion and handover. Collaboration is central to the role, and you'll work closely with colleagues across Commercial, Construction and Sales to ensure high-quality technical information supports the successful delivery of every project.
Essential Criteria
More about you
You'll have a strong technical background within housebuilding and experience managing the design and technical delivery of residential developments. We're particularly interested in candidates who have worked on multi-tenure schemes and can demonstrate successful coordination of technical information through all stages of the development process.
You'll have a solid understanding of different construction methods, current legislation and approval processes, alongside experience managing consultants and technical stakeholders. A proactive and collaborative approach is essential, as is a genuine passion for delivering high-quality homes and creating thriving communities. Experience working on larger or more complex residential developments would be advantageous.
